Prof. Saroj Sharma Appointed as Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University
Prof. Saroj Sharma has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University in April 2026. The appointment was approved by the Governor of Jharkhand, who is also the Chancellor of state universities.
Prof. Sharma is a distinguished academician with over three decades of experience in higher education, administration, and policy-making. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Dean at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and also held the position of Chairperson at the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) from 2020 to 2024
